What about Pagenation.com?

Pagenation (pronounced /ˌpegˈgiːna:sionə/) is a simple, Web-based, free content physical geography and natural history project. The name Pagenation is a portmanteau (combination of words and their meanings) of the words page (a type of collaborative pages) and nation. Pagenation's articles provide links to guide the user to related pages with additional information.

Pagenation hopes to put together People, Places, and Politics. Focus of this site is to see how nation states can "Connect with its citizens." The key is of course "Communication" - nation states can prosper only if its leader are making connection with their people.

Pagenation is our Digital Karma - Giving back to the online spring of knowledge from which we drank so often.

Pagenation is written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world. Since its creation in 2005, Pagenation has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference Web sites attracting at least 2 million visitors yearly in 2007. There are more than 2 active contributors working on more than 100 articles in one language.

Visitors do not need specialized qualifications to contribute, since their primary role is to write articles that cover existing knowledge; this means that people of all ages and cultural and social backgrounds can write Pagenation articles. Most of the articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Internet, simply by clicking the edit this page link. Anyone is welcome to add information, cross-references or citations, as long as they do so within Pagenation's editing policies and to an appropriate standard. Substandard or disputed information is subject to removal. Users need not worry about accidentally damaging Pagenation when adding or improving information, as other editors are always around to advise or correct obvious errors, and Pagenation's software is carefully designed to allow easy reversal of editorial mistakes.

Because Pagenation is an ongoing work to which, in principle, anybody can contribute, it differs from a paper-based reference source in important ways. In particular, older articles tend to be more comprehensive and balanced, while newer articles more frequently contain significant misinformation, unencyclopedic content, or vandalism. Users need to be aware of this to obtain valid information and avoid misinformation that has been recently added and not yet removed (see Researching with Pagenation for more details).

A country's success depends 5 major nation-building themes:

  • Economic Development.
  • Getting Young People to participate in national affairs.
  • Increasing a country's population size.

Why Pagenation Map?

Our goals of Pagenation is to provide an engaging source of data and insights in a nation, its cities and places. We have dedicated this resource to the many world navigators and those who travel through its spaces and those who navigate its history.

One of task at Pagenation is to map out the world we all lived in with stories (overlapping narration and images) in the hope to invoke a sense of adventure and discovery of both familiar and unfamiliar territories. In the past, maps have served as a way for society to understand the physical worlds and have alway been a medium for conveying information and ideals about space, geography, empire, nation, distance and transportation routes. Today with the advent of computers, huge data storage, GPS (Global Positioning System) devices and Satellite boune photography mapping is expanded its roles.

Pagenation Maps is one of the few Pagenation Services. It uses a simple mapping technology which has the following features:
